CBS houses upcoming ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ TV seriesCBS Broadcasting Inc. has approved on a put-pilot for the TV series 'Beverly Hills Cop' in which Eddie Murphy is supposed to appear along with being an executive producer of the series. 'Beverly Hills Cop' has been Eddie's one of the famous and memorable roles in his lifetime and hence, he is planning to take it to the small screen. This remake will be produced by Eddie Murphy and Shawn Ryan, 'The Shield's' producer.

Eddie Murphy himself is supposed to reprise the lead role named Axel Foley but it is said that, the TV series won't be based on the character Axel Foley but it will actually follow Axel's son Aaron. The story is centered on Aaron and his struggle to get out of his father's shadow. Eddie is himself excited upon this and pumped to play the Axel Foley once again. Nothing till date is decided on who will be casted as Aaron but there is some estimation on one of the ongoing TV series' actor. Shawn Ryan seems to be very excited to work on this project as he had always enjoyed the movie and its characters. He is mega-excited to explore the movie on the television and he says that the opportunity to write for Eddie Murphy cannot be turned down.

Ryan does not seem to be much familiar with comedy but insists that he would do better and has said that the comic parts in the series are improvised and scripted and hence, the series has something which will make it stand out from other television shows. He is supposed to serve as the showrunner and Eddie Murphy will act as the executive director of the pilot. As most viewers tend to wary of remakes, according to Ryan, this won't be boring and will surely attract numerous viewers. Ryan admitted that, many people suggested him not to go for remake of the movie but though such material is not much attracting, Ryan loves challenges and wants to go for it.

With the deals done and everything fixed, the Beverly Hills Cop series is estimated to be premiered in 2013 but guys, you need to stay tuned as it is on the way.
